Email for budget suggestions and comments
budget.1314@bvcps.net
Teachers, staff and community members,
Thank you for your input and involvement in the budget process. Given the transition to a new superintendent this is a unique budget season. However, the school board, Dr. Keeler and I are committed to having an open and transparent process and to working closely with city council in a creative and collaborative way. We are also eager to involve teachers, staff members, and parents in setting priorities and identifying creative solutions to difficult situations.
One way we hope to gather input is by this email account, dedicated solely to budget questions and suggestions.
This account will be monitored daily and responses posted as quickly as possible. Comments will be shared with board members and considered in the decision making process.
In addition, we encourage you to attend the called meeting on Thursday, March 14 and city council meetings. As with all board meetings, there will be an opportunity for public comment at the beginning of the session.
Again the email account for budget comments is budget.1314@bvcps.net.

Online Learning Opportunities For Students
Online Learning Opportunities for Students
Online learning is available to our students at no cost to students and their families. Online learning offers students a chance to excel at an advanced level in a subject area beyond what is offered in our school system. We also offer opportunities for students to choose online learning as a way to “catch up” on credits when they have fallen behind what they need to meet graduation requirements.
In order to enroll in an on-line/virtual course at Parry McCluer High School, Parents and students must sign a contract and agree to the following:
· On-line courses are self-paced which requires motivation and self-discipline.
· The entire course (Parts A & B) must be completed by the end of the school year.
· Students must pass both parts of the class in order to receive a credit.
· If the course has an EOC/SOL, students must take it upon completion of the course.
· Students who successfully complete an on-line course may be eligible to enroll in another course.
Online learning in BVCPS is offered through Virtual Virginia and Class.com. Please contact your child’s guidance counselor for specific courses and program requirements.
