Jonathan Tyler Coleman has been chosen as Parry McCluer High School’s Senior of the Month for May 2014. He is the son of Christopher and Melissa Coleman of Buena Vista.Jonathan is an active member of the PMHS Soccer team and has served as Captain. He has participated on the Varsity Golf team throughout high school and the Varsity Cross Country team during his junior and senior years. In addition to athletics, Jonathan is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Council Association. He was elected Class President his junior year and Class Senator his freshman year. Jonathan was selected as the PMHS ambassador for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference his sophomore year and nominated for Boys’ State. Jonathan is highly respected by the administration, faculty, coaches and students of Parry McCluer High School. Ms. Cobb has taught Jonathan and worked with him in National Honor Society. She states, “He is a bright, respectful young man who brings a unique perspective to the classroom; his hard work shines through in all aspects of his life.” Another PMHS teacher, Mr. Craft, added that Jonathan is a great public speaker and a student who has high values. Jonathan is a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. He will attend DSLCC in the fall and major in Pastoral Leadership. Jonathan plans to complete his education at a four year college and then attend the Seminary.
