Superintendent´s Message

Dear Buena Vista City Community Members,

I am honored and humbled to have been given the opportunity to work collaboratively
with the Buena Vista City community to educate, inspire, and develop future Blues who will make a positive impact in our community.  It is a privilege to join a school community with such a strong tradition of excellence, dedicated educators, supportive families, and students who inspire us every day.  As I begin this journey, I want you to know that I am committed to listening and learning to ensure that I am able to develop a complete understanding of the traditions, relationships, processes, strengths, and opportunities that exist in BVCPS.  I come into this role with deep respect for the work that has already been accomplished, and with a strong belief that the best outcomes for students happen when schools, families, and the community work together in partnership.

While this welcome letter focuses on my transition to BVCPS, please know that I want each of you to play an integral part of this transition and the path forward for our school system.  I invite each of you to join me on this journey, and I look forward to collaborating with you as we work to build upon the successes of BVCPS. Again, your role and our collaboration are essential. I look forward to meeting many of you in the weeks ahead. Whether at school events, community gatherings, or through individual conversations, I hope to hear your perspectives and ideas. Please know that my door is always open. Through collaboration, we will enhance the existing strengths of BVCPS while strategically addressing opportunities. Together, we will drive progress and elevate our school system to new levels of excellence. I am truly excited about what we can accomplish—together—in the days, months, and years to come!

Yours in Education,
Heather Ault, Ed.D.
Superintendent
