Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent
Pay Grade: Compensation based on experience and qualifications
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Hours: Your normal working hours are 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. including not more than 60 minutes for lunch. Work days, holidays, hours, etc., are set by the Superintendent.
Qualifications: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED. Six (6) years’ experience in executive secretarial work. Demonstrated proficiency in computer literacy. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, RDA accounts payable system, Medicaid billing and PowerSchool.
ESSENTAIL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the operations of the Superintendent’s office
- Receptionist and front office responsibilities
- Accounts Payable for division
- Maintain Medicaid billing, reports and filings
- Maintain VSBA Policy updates
- Maintain files for homeschool and tuition students
- File VACORP claims for student accidents
- Maintain insurance for fleet vehicles, buses, etc.
- Ordering of materials and supplies for office and division paper supply and textbooks
- Maintain Scholarship Fund
- Maintain tuition assistance payments and paperwork
- Place reservations for hotels and conferences
- New employee hiring packets
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
